Games I Want To Play
HOLLOWPINE LANDING

Meet Hollowpine Landing

October 8, 2026

We have played a lot of farm sims. Hundreds of hours of them. And the ones that flop almost never flop because people got tired of farming. They flop because they are just okay. So the rule for this one is simple: competent is not good enough.

Hollowpine Landing is a cozy farm and life sim with cosmic dread. It is 2030 in a fictional Portland, Maine. An occultist opened a door that should have stayed shut, the horrors came through, and every written word on Earth turned into something nobody can read. What is left of humanity lives behind walls.

You get a farm on the edge of all of it.

What you do

  • Farm under four rotating star alignments instead of seasons. Some crops only grow under certain skies.
  • Decipher a book. A strange tree grows on your farm and slowly translates an alien book, one page at a time. Every page opens something new.
  • Go past the wall into the Thinning: seven places that get worse the further you push, each with its own horrors.
  • Sail a foggy sea in a boat you restore yourself. The sea will scare you. It will never hurt you. That one is a promise.
  • Defend the farm at night. Raids scale with how hard you push.
  • Make friends in the Landing, run errands for the factions, join the Barter Fair, rebuild the town.
  • Hunt for curios. Over two hundred hidden collectibles with riddle hints and no exact spots.
  • Play together. Couch co-op and online co-op are both in, from day one.

Madness replaces stamina. Stay out too long and the fog starts talking back.

Where it is at

It is early, but it is a real game already. A small group of testers has been playing builds for a couple of weeks, and new builds land almost every day. The art you see here is placeholder pixel art that we like a lot, and it keeps getting better.

Why "Games I Want To Play"

Because that is the whole reason. We make the games we want to play. Hollowpine Landing is the first. There is another one on the way, an 80s synthwave survivors game, and you will hear about it when it is ready.

We will post here every week with what changed. Follow along, and if something in here sounds like your kind of game, we would love to hear from you.

See you in the fog.
